Two Mile Crabapple: Framed Plein Air Color Match Illusion

$475.00

This original framed painting captures a stunning crabapple at Two Mile Creek, Tonawanda, NY. This illusion series was posted to social media, beginning 07 April, 2026. This painting represents innocence, blessings, and vitality.

Crabapple at Two Mile Creek: Blossoming trees frequent my paintings because I’m enamored with them and believe they hold a wealth of meaning and symbolism. This crabapple tree was captured along Two Mile Creek, which is fed by several tributaries and flows into the Niagara River, a mere mile away.

While painting, many sweet animals passed by, including turkeys, butterflies, songbirds, and deer; I found a similar innocence in the blossoms of the tree. Crabapples, though largely non-native to Western New York, have become an iconic and memorable part of the area’s springtime landscape.

Key Features:

  • Original varnished plein air oil painting (3.3” x 2.3”) on archival Bristol board

  • Black frame (6.5” x 5”) custom-built for the piece

  • Mounted with archival (non-damaging) methods on archival double matting

  • Museum glass provides UV protection while offering clear, glare-free viewing

  • Ready to hang (wired) and certificate of authenticity included

  • Geolocation of painting site and Two Mile Creek + crabapple facts included

Environmental Responsibility: Created with high-efficiency, solvent-free methods that reflect years of intentional, low-impact practice. Shipped with high-end gallery packing practices and intentionally sustainable, recyclable materials.
