Swimming Dolphins Adjustable Necklace: Micro Oil Painting on Sea Glass

$135.00

This necklace shows an aerial view of three swimming dolphins, painted on Niagara River sea glass. This is an adjustable necklace, so you can wear it at a variety of lengths (anywhere from choker length to 24 inches).

DEPICTION:

This scene is shown from above. You look down upon three swimming dolphins. Their shadows are visible beneath them, which adds depth to the painting. Rings of light dance across the water.

DETAILS:

  • Frosty white/semi-transparent sea glass from Niagara River

  • Oil paint and glossy coating

  • Smooth, round, mahogany-toned cord with two sliding knots

  • Cord adjusts from 14-24 inches

  • Black velvet necklace box included (all sea glass and coin necklaces come in a velvet box)

BOTTLENOSE DOLPHIN FACTS:

Bottlenose dolphins are well known as the intelligent and charismatic stars of many aquarium shows. Their curved mouths give the appearance of a friendly, permanent smile, and they can be trained to perform complex tricks. In the wild, these sleek swimmers can reach speeds of over 18 miles an hour. Bottlenose dolphins travel in social groups and communicate with each other by a complex system of squeaks and whistles. Schools have been known to come to the aid of an injured dolphin and help it to the surface. (Source: National Geographic.)

SEA GLASS’S JOURNEY:

  • Sand was turned into glass

  • The glass was made into products

  • The products were consumed and discarded

  • Water, sand, and wind soften the broken bits of glass

  • I find it on a sandy beach and turn it into something new

I’m certain you’ll be pleased with the quality of this product. I currently offer shipping to the United States, Canada, the UK, and Australia. If you need shipping to any additional countries, please let me know so I can expand my shipping options.

If you have any questions, please message me. :)
