Fort Niagara: I set up on Fort Niagara Beach on a windy day, working with the ever-changing light as I painted where the turquoise of the Niagara River meets the darker waters of Lake Ontario. This spot is special not just for its view, but for its history—once central to Indigenous communities for trade and sustenance, later a military post through the French and Indian War and the War of 1812. Being here, observing the water and the light, I’m reminded of our responsibility to honor the past and seek a future in harmony with the natural world.

Key Features:

  • Original varnished plein air oil painting (3.3” x 2.3”) on archival Bristol board

  • Black frame (6.5” x 5”) custom-built for the piece

  • Mounted with archival (non-damaging) methods on archival double matting

  • Museum glass provides UV protection while offering clear, glare-free viewing

  • Ready to hang (wired) and certificate of authenticity included

  • Geolocation of painting site and facts included about the waters and history

Environmental Responsibility: Created with high-efficiency, solvent-free methods that reflect years of intentional, low-impact practice. Shipped with high-end gallery packing practices and intentionally sustainable, recyclable materials.
