Determination: Bald Eagle Original Miniature Oil Painting with Rustic Mini-Easel

$229.00

This is a miniature oil painting of a bald eagle. The eagle is in side profile and looks onward in determination. I chose to paint an eagle because I needed strength during a hard time, and I admire the steely endurance of eagles.

This is ready to display on the easel or hang on the wall via the hook on the back.

DETAILS:

Oil painting with glossy varnish on wood panel.
Ready to hang on wall or display on easel.
Hanger on back.
Panel is solid wood and triple gessoed. Sides of panel are painted.
Painting is 3 x 2.25 inches.
Initialed on front and signed on back.
The easel is 4 x 4.3 inches.
Certificate of authenticity included.

BALD EAGLES:

The bald eagle was officially adopted as the emblem of the United States in 1787. (Source: Live Science.) The bald eagle was chosen because of its association with authority and statehood in fact, the eagle had been used as a symbol of governmental power since Roman times. To many, bald eagles represent strength, agility, and determination.

The bald eagle is an Endangered Species Act success story. In the mid-1900s, our national symbol was in danger of extinction throughout most of its range. (U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.) Because their populations recovered sufficiently, they were delisted from the Endangered Species Act in August 2007. Bald eagles are still protected under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act and the Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act.
